About this trip
We keep adding traffic-free rail trail adventures, and the Erie Canal is our newest pubic tour! This is a full-service tour for you, with lodging, most breakfasts, daily sag lunch, and a welcome reception and dinner on the first day. It's also a great tour for beginners due to following a canal, taking most of the hills away.
Day 1 & 2 in Buffalo
Explore Buffalo & Niagara Falls area
Arrive at check-in time at our hotel and join the guest orientation, reception and dinner this night. Day 2, we're exploring our way to Niagara Falls and back!
Day 3
Head east on the Erie Canal Trail
We're off to our next stop at Medina, NY. Total distance today approximately 50 miles.
Day 4, on to Pittsford
Travel on to Pittsford, NY
We continue eastbound on the canal trail to Pittsford, NY, approximately 52 miles.
On to Weedsport
More great canal trail to Weedsport
We're enjoying the traffic-free canal trail again, our longest day at approximately 55 miles
Day 6, on to Syracuse
Our final day
We end our riding at Syracuse, about 25 miles today, and a return sag ride back to the tour end at Buffalo, ETA estimated at 3 p.m.
