The Dirty Double-Crossing Tour, Muskegon MI on June 20, or Milwaukee WI on June 21.
We've got something special on our Dirty Double Crossing Tour, a 200-mile, seven day tour with two ferry crossings of Lake Michigan and some great riding in Michigan and Wisconsin! Coming from the east? Start your tour in Manitowoc. Coming from west of Chicago? Start in Milwaukee! For 2026, we start on Saturday June 20 in Muskegon. For those who prefer Milwaukee, the start date is Sunday June 21!
Manitowoc, Six nights of fine hotel lodging
Five nights of fine hotel lodging
Most mornings
Because stopping at a pub can be a drag, we've got a good lunch for you each day!
Available based on local vendor offerings.
Arrive by 1 p.m. for an optional warm-up ride, 20 to 35 miles in the beautiful area north of Muskegon. We've upgraded our lodging this year, and you'll enjoy nice, safe hotel accommodations tonight. Guests who select the Milwaukee start will not be on this ride.
We'll head to the ferry dock about 9 a.m. where you'll park your car for the week. The ferry ride is at 10:15 to Milwaukee. Once we're on cheesy shores, we'll meet our guests starting from Milwaukee and then ride north to Port Washington. Along the way you'll catch some sights of Milwaukee, including the Estabrook Beer Gardens for sag lunch. Guests joining in Milwaukee will enjoy this ferry crossing on the last day.
Today we ride north to Manitowoc, with your best chance to make a metric century this week!
Today you have the morning free for as much optional riding as you want, provided you get to the ferry dock by 1 p.m. The historic Badger, launched in 1953, is the last coal-fired, steam-powered vessel on the Great Lakes! The ship departs at 2 p.m. CDT, and lands in Michigan at about 7 p.m., Eastern time.
We have 2 nights in Ludington, allowing for a casual ride on Wednesday. Your chance to see the famous double-decker outhouse!
Today we depart Ludington for Whitehall, on a combination of country roads and on the paved Hart-Montague Trail. There's an ice cream stop about 9 miles before we reach our hotel!
We close the tour today with a 20-mile ride back to the ferry dock in Muskegon. Expect arrival about noon. Those who started in Muskegon will end their tour at that time. Those who started in Milwaukee will have to wait for the next ferry back to Wisconsin.
